Graduate

Overview

Our observership programs provides undergrads and postgrads from around the world the opportunity to expand their knowledge and deepen their expertise by coming through clinical and research areas in compliance with rules and regulations.

Physicians will be able to observe operative experience includes related procedures and process. Our busy outpatient clinic is an integral component of the program, providing preoperative evaluation and postoperative care of many of the patients.

Who is eligible?

Observers must be undergrads of postgrads from outside of Turkey with special interest in the chosen department.

Observers must be proficient in spoken and written English. All aspects of education and patient care are conducted in Turkish/English. Individuals who arrive without adequate English skills may be encouraged to terminate their observership prematurely.

What are observers’ responsibilities?

Application fees will be applied to any observer who decides to complete the formal application process following their initial inquiry. Individuals must assume all costs for transportation, room, board, and incidental expenses. Staff of Koç University Hospital can assist observers in locating housing once the dates of the observership have been finalized. If it is determined that the individual's level of funding is insufficient, the request for an observership will be denied.

Individuals must obtain their own visas and are responsible for all required documentation for entry into Turkey. Staff of Koç University hospital can assist accepted observers in this process.

Observers can negotiate their schedules and priorities to achieve their objectives. However, observers must attend clinical care and teaching sessions. Observerships may be canceled for individuals whose English is inadequate or who fail to attend core learning sessions.

Observerships are limited to one to two at a time. Applications must be received at least three to six months prior to an anticipated visit. Applications may be denied if someone else has already signed up for an overlapping period or if the desired observership period overlaps with major scientific meetings.

How can observers apply?

Observers need to send an email request to info@aimes.org or complete the online application form on our website to be considered.
