|Basic Life Support (BLS) Course|
This course aims to make participants be able to recognize life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Students will work on to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing.
Course includes didactic lessons, simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations.
- Perform high quality CPR for adults, children and infants,
- Effective ventilations using a barrier device
- Use of an AED
- Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
- Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children and infants
1 day, 8 hours/day
Participants must submit a negative PCR test taken no more than 48 hours before the course day
